FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

Our luxurious sailboat Wind Therapy will head out on the scenic Forked River onto Barnegat Bay. When we reach the open water we will be seated on the front deck of the sailboat for about 45-50 minutes for the Wellness Retreat. We start with light seated yoga, mindfulness, and guided meditation. We will close our wellness session by laying down for relaxation while listening to the crystal chakra singing bowls. Sails that include massage will take place in a chair on the front of the sailboat. Usually, three massages take place on the way out to the bay and three on the way back in.

From sightseeing, to birthday parties, corporate meetings, retirement parties, bachelorette and bachelor parties, proposals, weddings, private parties or events, or everyone’s favorite…a day on the Barnegat Bay. You name it and we will try to make it work. Contact us for special requests at windtherapywellness@gmail.com.

This is YOUR Wellness Retreat and you may do what you feel comfortable with. Our intention is to provide you with a relaxing and enjoyable experience. You know your own body and may adjust accordingly. The yoga is light stretching and seated. You may choose to stay at the back of the boat as well.

Be comfortable and dress according to the weather. That may be yoga pants, bathing suit, coverup, sweatshirt in case it’s windy. This depends on the season and the current weather. In most cases use your best judgment. In general, layered clothing is best. When it gets hot you can take the top layers off and if it gets cold, you can put them back on. Also, soft soled shoes are preferred. Tennis shoes, sneakers or walking shoes are perfect for sailing. No high heels, dress shoes or hiking boots. And don’t forget to wear extra sun block, sunglasses and a hat!

It’s BYO Food and Beverages. We provide an ice filled cooler, cups and bottled water. For food and alcohol, feel free to bring your own.

Since it is BYO food and beverages, you can bring coolers, food, picnic baskets, and whatever you need to have fun. Yoga mats or towels can be used for doing seated yoga on the boat. There is plenty of room to store your belongings below deck.

Probably not. Sailing on Barnegat Bay is usually very calm. Although everyone is different and, if you are prone to motion sickness, you may want to bring and take non-drowsy medication. Be sure to consult with your doctor for the latest in anti-seasick medications.

While no one can predict exact conditions for a given day, Captain Dave will give you his best forecast based on his years of experience on Barnegat Bay. You will be notified the day prior in most cases unless under extreme circumstances on the day of your sail. We will offer another date should the weather turn foul the day of your sailing adventure.
